Wiles Gully (GULLY), NSW Details
Description
A perennial stream rising on the south western slopes of Snowden Mountain. It flows in a south western direction for about 3/4 mile then in a north western direction for about 5 miles to its junction with Jacob and Joseph Creek about 8 km north of Wallabadah.
Meaning
A surname.
Origin
Billy Wiles a Wallabadah Station man was about in the 1860s and is still remembered in the locality. The gully was named after him. (Quirindi District Historical Society Members).
