History
At its meeting on the 28 October 1998 Council resolved to adopt the name `Paterson Reserve`.
Description
A reserve located between Glover Avenue and Torbert Avenue at Quakers Hill. It is Reserve 706 which occupies Lot 1000 of DP 789891.
Origin
Named after John Paterson (31.01.1929 - ..........) who whilst stationed in England during WW11 recognised the universal nature of soccer and started an All Age Soccer team in Quakers Hill in 1953. This formed the basis of a team in the State Soccer League. (Blacktown Council letter 29 October 1998)
