Golding Creek (GULLY), NSW Details
History
Name proposed by Jeffery Haydon a friend of the Golding family.
Description
A creek 4.9 km in length which rises 5.8 km SW of Trappits Bald Hill and 5.0 km S of the junction of Euchareena and McKay roads. It flows NW and then SW to its confluence with Ploughmans Creek.
Origin
Tracy Leanne Golding (11.09.1977 - 09.12.1994) lived near this creek and was killed in a car accident nearby. She had a real concern for the environment and spent a lot of time near the creek sometimes cleaning up rubbish to prevent it becoming polluted. She was very community minded and supported others in swimming and riding groups.
