History
Amansion of the name Regent Villa was built in 1825 although soon afterwards it became known as Regentville. (Place names & origins in Penrith Penrith City Council 1982).

Origin
Named after the estate of Sir John Jamison Australias first titled settler who acquired many acres of land by grant and purchase. One of these purchases included Frogmore Farm sold to him by Simeon Lord. Lord set down a condition or purchase which stated that a house was to be built ans was to be named Regent Villa.
