Description
A dam wall on the Cudgegong River about 23 km SE by E of Mudgee. (235300 megalitre capacity dam). It stands half in Mudgee and half in Rylestone Shires.
Origin
The name Windamere originated from the property on which the dam is sited the property Windamere was owned by Mr John Valentine Phillips before it was acquired by the Commission (WRC) in 1973.
