Description
A perennial stream rising about 7 km east of Crookwell it then flows generally south for approx. 25 km generally south east for approx. 14 km generally north east for approx. 46 km generally north for approx. 38 km generally east south east for approx. 13 km generally north east for approx. 16 km to where it flows into Lake Burragorang. It passes Pomeroy Baw Baw Goulburn and Towrang.
Meaning
Also: said to be derived from wallandillii an Aboriginal word for water trickling over rocks but there is no linguistic evidence for this in Dharawal language of the region. (Appleton; 1992).
Origin
Deerabublin River is said to be Aboriginal for Deep Waters. Name of river recorded by Charles tThrosby in 1819. (Appleton; 1992).
