Origin
Robert Angus Martin Smith (10.11.1913 - 08.05.1996) was an alderman on Drummoyne Council from 1962-77 serving as Deputy Mayor in 1966 1967 and 1972. He was elected Mayor in 1974 and 1975. He lived in Victoria Place the street which adjoins the reserve for many years. (Drummoyne Council letters dated 28 October 1997 and 6 February 1998)
