Description
A locality about 6 km E of the locality Backmede and about 4.5 km NE by Backmede Trig. Station.
Origin
Named after James Chester Manifold become part owner of Runnymede Station. Towards the end of WW1 land was made available for Soldier settlement and James Manifold gave 3020 acres to be cut into twenty farms that were made available on ballot to retuned servicemen who had enlisted from the Casino-Kyogle area.
