Bass Point (POINT), NSW Details
Description
A point situated N of Bushranger Bay and about 4 km SE by E of Shellharbour.
Origin
Named by Matthew Flinders in honour of George Bass. The two men explored the south coast of NSW. Flinders described the point as a long sloping projection which I have called Pt. Bass. (Place Names of NSW Reed 1969).
