A neighbourhood within the suburb of St Marys and situated north of Dunheved Railway Station and bounded by South and Ropes Creeks.
Origin
Named after a 13th century castle in Launceston Cornwall England the town where Governor King was born in 1758. Dunheved (meaning hill-head) is situated in an area of 660 acres originally granted to P. King in 1806. This was Governor Kings son Phillip Parker King. Kings three daughters were also granted land in the area.
