History
Name proposed by Mrs M Pontifex for the Mangrove Mountain Districts Community Group.
Description
A gully 1.5 km in length which starts at a point 5.5 km W of Moat Trigonometrical Station and 3.9 km S by W of the Ironbark Road bridge over Ironbark Creek. The gully runs in a south-easterly direction into Ironbark Creek.
Origin
The area was the home of the McKenzie and Denniss families who for many generations used this creek for washing clothes and bathing. (Mrs M Pontifex long-time resident in the area telephone call)
