History

This land was part of a reserve area unofficially known as `Windarra Reserve` or `Windarra Avenue Reserve`. The name came from the adjoining Windarra Avenue.

Description

A reserve at Narwee located between Karne Street and Penshurst Road. It occupies Lot 2 of DP 843920.

Origin

Robert Gardner also known as `Bob the Gardener` (.......... - ...06.1873) was a convict sentenced to transportation for stealing ducks and other animals. He arrived in Sydney in 1806 and leased and later owned the land on which the reserve is located. ( Muir L and Madden B local historians proposal 24 February 1999)
