how to show your DNS in windows and then copy it to the clipboard in one command

Here is how you can show your current DNS server in windows command line and then copy it to the clipboard, ready for pasting.

  1. Open Windows Command Prompt
    <windows key> + R

  2. Type cmd

  3. Press Enter

  4. Now type the following command. Yes my typing is bad! :{

    ipconfig /displaydns | clip

  5. Now your dns information is copied into your clipboard so you can paste it anywhere you need... just dont paste it back into the terminal like i did (by accident...) Hopefully this did not break anything.
