History
At its meeting on 24 May 1996 Council resolved to ask that the name be assigned.
Description
A camping area between The Bridle Track and the Macquarie River at Bruinbun. It is about 7.75 km SSW of Hill End and 0.5 km NNW of the point where Chambers Creek flows into the Macquarie River.
Origin
Monaghan is said to have been the engineer who was in charge of the construction of The Bridle Track.
