A town at the mouth of the Richmond River it is divided into two parts by North Creek. Other Comments: Name changed from town of West Ballina and town of Ballina at request of Ballina Municipal Council.

Also: Bullina - a fighting ground. (ASA. 1899). Also: place of fish and oysters is descriptive only; Also: fighting dying bloodshed refers to a massacre about 1853-54 but place named before this event. Richmond Tweed Reg. Lib. & Rich. River Historical Society. 1983)

Origin

Corruption of native name Bullinah(RAHS;Vol 44; Pt 3;p 146). Also: derived from Gidhabal balun for river creek. (M.Sharpe;1992). A Banjalang Aboriginal term from bullina. (Appleton 1992) Balluna Aboriginal for where the river enters the sea. (Antropolo- gical Society of Australasia).

In this case my anchor this week becomes driving almost 2hrs outside of Atlanta to one of my favorite hard core gyms in the world.. MetroFlex aka The Dungeon. The gym owners turn the heat way up so it becomes a fun sweat box and the gym members just watch from afar and leave me alone. I happily drive myself long distances to find MY ANCHOR. Our anchor allows us to have balance, focus and be as productive as possible. And if you're in the middle of a heavy set and your headphones start to fall off your head, like mine did here.. well.. f*ck the headphones. Let em break and fall. You can always get a new pair, but the iron ain't ever gonna lift itself.
