Description
A reserve fronting North Street in Portion 33. It has an area of Approximately 5 acres and is situated on filled land (previously a garbage depot)
Origin
Mr Volckers a seed merchant planted the first Jacaranda trees in the early 1870s and first Citys Jacaranda Avenue in early 1900s. While Grafton is famous for these trees and associated Jacaranda Festival commemoration should be given to the man resposible for this heritge.
