Description

A beach near the town of Merimbula located on the southern side of the entrance to Merimbula Lake.

Origin

Donald Henry James Mitchelson (1906-1978) constructed the existing jetty at the western end of the beach and operated from it. He was the local Merimbula fisherman over many decades and sold fish from the jetty as well as to Sydney and the Eden cannery.
