The original name used for what is now Lidcombe including the Rookwood cemetery.
Origin
Samuel Haslem was granted 20.2 ha within the area bounded by Parramatta Road Nyrang and Boorea Streets and Haslems Creek stormwater canal. He was given an original grant of land in 1806 and a a further grant in 1816. The second was adjacent to the creek.
