History
The river was discovered by Charles Throsby on 5 May 1819. It was named by John Thomas Bigge Commissioner of Enquiry on 22 October 1820. (GNB Newspaper Clippings Book) (See also GNB4341)
Description
A watercourse about 130 km long. It rises about 2 km ENE of Mount Werong and flows generally W NW into Wyangala Dam.
