History
Name in existence as early as 1837. Also known as Barnes Crossing after 1848. (Ziegler O L 1960 Snowy Saga pp. 37-38)
Description
A crossing of the Snowy River at Dalgety.
Origin
Buckleys Crossing gained its name from the fact that two brothers Buckley drove their sheep across the Snowy River at about the spot where the bridge is situated. (Back to Cooma Celebrations 1926 p.24)
