Description

A town about 44 km E by N of the town of Quirindi.

Origin

Thought to be an Aboriginal word meaning mouth. One of our earliest references to the word is in a survey carried out in 1842 by Assistant Surveyor Burnett who showed iton a plan as Nundul. (Atchison 1976).
