Description
A locality about 8 km NW by W of Wattlegrove Trig. Station and about 8 km NNW of Moses Lambing. Boundaries within Guyra Shire Gaz 25 Aug 1995 shown map GNB3771.
Origin
Originally the name of a squatting run. It involves two squatters William Nowland and Richard Ward who moved their stock into the area around 1839-40. Both Nowland and Ward had squattered the same land but Nowland registered his squat before Ward. The run as a consquence became known as Wards Mistake. (Atchison 1976).
