History
Name proposed by D Martin. Supported by the Mangrove Mountain Districts Community Group the Darkinjung Aboriginal Land Council Gosford Council Forests and NP&WS.
Description
A gully about 0.9 km long. It rises about 2.3 km N of Kooree Trigonometrical Station and 5.2 km N by W of Kulnura Post Office. It flows in a north-westerly direction into Boomerang Creek.
Meaning
`Canoe-shaped bark vessel for water`.
Origin
Aboriginal. From the oral history of the Darkinjung people as submitted by D Martin through the Mangrove Mountain Districts Community Group.
