History
Nominated by Neville Davis of Parramatta Councils Parks Division.
Description
A reserve extending between the eastern side of Gregory Place and the western side of Alfred Street at Parramatta. It adjoins the southern side of Clay Cliffe Creek and occupies Lot 1 of DP 209226 and Lot 16A of DP 367161.
Origin
Name recognises the Swann familys contribution to the conservation of historic Elizabeth Farm which is across the road from the reserve. The house was built by John Macarthur in 1793 and bought by William Swann in 1904. He and his family renovated the property and managed it for sixty-five years.
