Description
Locality 6 km NW by W of Buckendoon Village and 2 km SE of the town of Coraki.
Origin
Named after William Tudor Yeagerton a young emigrant from the United States who ran steamers on the Richmond and eventually established a monoploly of the steam droghing service on the river. He opened the Oakland sawmill in 1882 and built a complete village for his mill workers. (Rich.Twd.Reg.Lib. & Rich.R.Hist.Soc.1983).
