A perennial tributary of Cattle Creek rising south of Black Mountain and flowing thence south-easterly to its junction with that creek.
Meaning
A sheep station (probably a shepherds station) was once on the gully .
Origin
The name was current in the 1870s and is shown on the 1877 county maps. Introduction of sheep was general in the 1860s.
