Abercrombie River National Park (RESERVE), NSW Details
History
The park absorbed part of the Gurnang State Forest. The area was sighted from a distance by George Evans in 1815. Charles Throsby discovered the river in 1819 and Commissioner Bigge named it in 1820.
Description
A national park of about 19000 ha proclaimed on 22 Dec 1995 in Gov Gaz 158 folios 8815-16. It is in two sections spread over the Bigga Arkstone Gurnang Fullerton and Mount Armstrong maps. It extends from the most westerly part of Por 23 Ph Bingham on the west to the most easterly part of Por 70 Ph Wyndham on the east. It extends south from the most northerly part of lot 59 of DP 45335 to the northern boundary of Por 3 Ph Bummaroo.
