Lockyer Reserve (RESERVE), NSW Details
Description
A public reserve in Ermington between Stevens Street and Flinders Crescent. It is located about 1km SW of Marsden High School and 1km NE of Millers Hill trig Station.
Origin
It should be noted that the names of Australian Explorers are common in the names of streets in this area and the suburb of Ermington was named by Major Lockyer who came to NSW as Commander of the 57th Regiment and in 1828 built a residence which he called Ermington.
