History
Reserve was known as Pomeroy Reserve after John Pomeroy who died in 1906. It was never officially named. Pomeroydoes not appear in the 1966 or 1984 Gregorys but does in the 1993.

A reserve occupying lot 9 of DP 264402. It is situated on the corner of Pomeroy Street and Wentworth Road Homebush.
Origin
William Bill Boyce (01.01.1910 - 21.01.1995) was mayor of Strathfield Council from 1969-70 and from 1973-76. He belonged to many service clubs and worked tirelessly for the community.
