Willow Creek (CREEK), NSW Details
History
Name suggested by Mr Kidd and supported by fellow residents of the Cherrybrook Garden Village. This suggestion was part of the Berowra Catchment Management Committee`s creek naming competition.
Description
A creek rising on the northern side of Castle Hill Road at Cherrybrook. It is about 2 km in length and flows in a generally NE direction to join Berowra Creek.
Origin
Several willows appear along the creek. (The applicants felt that the other name proposed for this creek `Nyrippin` was inappropriate. It had to be translated before anyone knew what it meant and the creek was not `clear` as suggested but littered and polluted.)
