Description
A city on the south shore of Parramatta River about 11 km WNW of Strathfield.
Meaning
Said to be a Dharuk Aboriginal term for head of the river (not veri- fied). (Appleton; 1992). Also: place where the eels lie down; dark jungle head of a river. (McCarthy. 1963).
