Description
A prominent mountain commanding an excellent view of the surrounding countryside from the Budawang Range on the west to the coast on the eastern side. It is situated in Morton National Park west of Ulladulla.
Origin
Named by Captain Cook on the morning of 21 April 1770 whilst sailing the Endeavour up the south coast of Australia. Cook sighted a remarkable peaked hill which resembled a square dovehouse with a dome on top. Cook gave this feature a European name Pigeon House unaware of the name Didthul given to it by the indigenous people.
