A pass in the range running generally northerly about 4.8 km west of the town of Werris Creek. Both the railway from Breeza to Werris Creek and Werris Creek run through this pass.
Meaning
A gap in the hills.
Origin
The name is so clearly descriptive and the feature so very conspicuous that the name must have been in use from the earliest days of settlement. However it has not been seen in records of the early runs nor of explorations.
