A flat on Hill End Creek about 500 metres SE by S of Hill End T.S.
Origin
Named after Kate Carr better known to Hill End as Derwent Kit a ticket-of-leave ex-convict from England via Hobart Town. She lived in a little hut down past Newcombes brickworks on what became known as Kittys Flat. The neighbouring falls was also named Kittys Falls.
