A hill rising about 180 metres from the Burke River. It is about 2km W by S of Cupitts Forest and about 7km N of Mount Lindsey.

Apparently named after John Izards (sometimes spelt Izzard)who held land across the Nepean from about 1830. The name is shown on Portion 29. Parish of Mittagong County of Camden.
