Description
Scattered village about 6 km south south west of the town of Byron Bay. Boundaries shown on map marked GNB 3744
Origin
The term Shoot was common in past years when Cedar was being brought to the Coast. It was general practise to transport the logs along the ridges to a convenient place then let it fall freely down a slope off the ridge - these places were called Shoots.
