History

Name nominated in response to Councils community consultations by Mrs Annie Nielson of WHaT Bush Care.

Description

A small reserve located at the intersection of Caroline Chisholm Drive and Bellotti Avenue east of Bon Mart Street. It occupies lots 687 689 and 690 of DP 234358 at Winston Hills.

Origin

`Model Farms` was the name of the suburb before it became Winston Hills. In 1873 Governor Denison intended that a section of the Governors Domain subdivision should become an experimental model farm. It was fenced but not developed any further. (Kass T Liston C McClymont J `Parramatta - A Past Revealed` 1996 pp.165 and 189)
