Description
A reserve bounded by Illoura Street on the west Victory Parade on the south-west and Myall Street on the north-east. It occupies Lot 41 of DP 13663.
Origin
In 1883 John Hugo his wife son mother step-father brothers and sisters sailed from England. They settled in an area north of the reserve. John and his brothers worked as coalminers. He had 13 children. Johns sons established Hugo Bros Builders and built and lived in many of the houses nearby. (Wallsend East Res.Group letter)
