Tumbledown Dick Hill (SPUR), NSW Details
Description
A spur up which Mona Vale Road climbs and on which Pittwater T.S. is situated. It is about 2 km S of Harvey trig. station and about 1 km east of the suburb of Terrey Hills.
Origin
Said either to be named after an old horse named Dick which kept tumbling or after a bullock named Dick which went over the side of the hill. Another theory is that it is named after the son of Oliver Cromwell Richard who was known both as Indolent Dick and Tumbledown Dick.
