A watercourse about 3 km long rising at Whitechapel Road Ambarvale and flowing generally NNE for approximately 4 km to its confluence with Bow Bowing Creek.
Origin
The meaning of Birunjiin the local aboriginal language is attractive. This name was suggested in view of an area of remnant bushland that still exists in the vicinity of the creek.
