Description
A ridge about 10 km long lying between Turee Creek and Croppy Creek and extending northwards from the junction of those water courses. Located about 13 km SE of Coolah.
Origin
Named after Charles Steele a former Lieutenant of the 17th Regiment of Infentry who was the original grantee in 1830 for Portion 5 in the Parish of Collier through which this ridge runs.
