Wilsons Creek (RIVER), NSW Details
Description
A perennial stream rising on E slopes of Jerusalem Mountain about 15 km W by N of Mullumbimby. It flows generally SE S then WSW for about 60 km to join Leycester Creek at Lismore to form the North Arm Richmond River.
Origin
This creek is said to be named after Tom Wilson an early cedar-getter. (Place Names of the Richmond Region. 1983. p45) The Bundjalung name for Wilsons Creek was Moomunna for `that over there`.
