Description
Headland on western side of Govett Gorge between Pulpit Rock and Docker Head about 1.2km east of Hat Hill.
Origin
Named after Rev. W.B. Clarke Famous Scientist and Geologist who twice traversed the lenght of Grose Canyon examining its geological structure he noted the Coal measures and Kerosene Shales before the Trial Railway Survey of 1859 again before 1865 (RAHS. Journal Vol xxvl P.249)
