Description
A locality near the Warrego River about 26km E of Mulchaccra Plain and 5 km N by W of Ningawalla Dam. Boundaries within the Bourke Council area shown on map marked GNB3632.
Origin
Known as Fords Crossing in 1880. Fords Bridge was actually a dam built by the Bogan River Company. In January 1873 Michheal McAuliffe was granted a licence of the Salmon Ford Hotel and transferred it to Robert Ford and Arrowsmith in 1879. (See letter of 23.5.97 on file GNB3632).
