A coastal bluff 300 metres north of Desoto Inlet. Hales Bluff is located on the boundary between Wyong Shire Council and Lake Macquarie City Council in the suburb of Catherine Hill Bay.

Origin

Named after Thomas Hale who took out a mining lease with Jacob Montefiore on 265 acres in 1865.
