Description
A locality which lies 6 km NE of Bolivia trig station and 18 km NE by N of Deepwater (village). Boundaries in Tenterfield Council shown on map GNB3807.
Origin
This area was first occupied in 1840 by a squatter named Edward Hurry who had lived in Bolivia South America for many years. He was struck by the similarity of the country and gave this name to the landscape. (Atchison J Place Names of Northern NSW) (See also Sommerville E C The Beardies Heritage)
