History
This name appeared on the first edition topographic map in 1973 although it was never formalised. In 1999 Bega Valley Shire Council confirmed that the name is known and in use.
Description
A non perennial creek rising from a point 7.5 km south of Bega (town) and 4.3 km SW by W of Jellat Jellat (locality). It flows in a generally north-westerly direction for 3km to its confluence with Bega River.
Origin
Named by a Dr King who was a medical officer in Eden in the 1850s. He moved to the Bega area where he owned land beside the Bega River which he named Kingswood
