Description
A reserve on the shores of Lake Illawarra facing Northcliff Drive. It is approx 500 meters east of Wollamai Point and Wollamai Park in Lake Heights.
Origin
Named in honour of Eugene von Guerard who is widley regarded as Australias most important landscape artist of the 1850s and 60s. He imigrated to Australia in 1852 to join the gold rush and was based in Melbourne.His painting Sydney Headsis regarded as the quintessential image of Sydney.
