Olson Reserve (RESERVE), NSW Details
Description
A reserve located on the corner of Jersey and Hyatts roads at Oakhurst. The reserve has access to Barnard Crescent and Darrell Place. It occupies Lot 5089 of D P 703804. Reserve 660.
Origin
In 1939 Mr and Mrs Olson bought the land on which the reserve is located. He was a bridge builder who worked for country councils whilst Hilda Olson stayed at home raising eight children. She was very community spirited supporting any fund-raising appeal in the area. (Olson F son information supplied to Blacktown Council Library)
