History

Reserve was shown as Barry Park on the 1986 CMA 1:25 000 map and in the 1994 Sydway directory. It has been signposted and known by the locals as Ilbery Park since 1993. Also in 1995 Gregorys as such.

Description

A reserve situated on Lot 1 of DP 69162. It is located on the corner of Barry and Westleigh Streets Neutral Bay.

Origin

The park is situated adjacent to the site of the former Rahnie mansion owned by the Ilbery family who moved to Sydney in the early 1900s. Prior to this they were merchant traders in Western Australia
